Hillandale Farm is proud to be a certified Real Organic Project farm owing to our commitment to sustainable practices, soil health and community-building. All of our mixed vegetables, annual fruits, herbs and greenhouse high tunnel crops are grown in biologically active soil using organic farming best practices. The Real Organic Project's mission is to grow the public's understanding of foundational organic values and practices. The Real Organic Project believes that crops grown in fertile soil and livestock raised on pasture are fundamental to organic farming. The project's first goal is to create an add-on label to USDA certified organic to provide more transparency surrounding organic farming practices.
